The UT Austin Computer Science - Academy for Machine Learning is a one-week residential summer program for high school students entering 10th-12th grade in Fall 2026. Through hands-on projects and mentorship from UT faculty, participants will learn Python programming, machine learning fundamentals, and explore the ethical and societal impacts of machine learning. Students will dive into coding with Python to train their own models, test their performance, and understand the core concepts behind artificial intelligence and how intelligent systems work. Typically, students have breakfast around 7:30 AM and begin their first activity at 9:00 AM. From 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, students are in the computer lab working on projects, attending guest lectures, or touring campus, with a break for lunch. After dinner, students participate in various social activities and return to their residence hall by 9:30 PM.
